Muhammad Aimal Marjan
Deputy Minister (IT), Ministry of Communications and IT (MCIT), Afghanistan
Mr. Marjan worked on various national ICT development projects and programs since 2002. He served as National ICT Advisor of MCIT, Director IT at MCIT and now serves as Deputy Minister (IT) at MCIT. Mr. Marjan worked in areas such as ICT Policy and strategies, ISP Licensing and regulations, Internet exchanges, cctlds, e-government and general capacity building issues.
Director, Information Systems Security and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Management Authority, MCIT
Mr. Wafa is is the General Manager for AfgNIC (Afghanistan Network Information Center) and the Chief Information Security Officer for AfCERT (Afghanistan Cyber Emergency Response Team), both a part of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Communication and IT Department. Zmarialai is an ICT Specialist.
As a part of his combined positions, Zmarlialai manages .af, Afghanistan’s new IDN ccTLD, NIRA, NIXA, AfCERT, ECA – PKI (Electronic Certification Authority – Public Key Infrastructure), and a Web Filtering project in Afghanistan.
Omar Mansoor Ansari
Chairman, National ICT Alliance of Afghanistan (NICTAA)
Mr. Ansari is Afghanistan’s senior ICT executive and an award-winning technology entrepreneur. Since 1999, he has had an active part in shaping the local IT industry. He founded and worked with number of associations, networks, and built and supported startups that are taking active role in socioeconomic development on local, regional and international levels. Mr. Ansari is Chairman of National ICT Alliance of Afghanistan, Director of Founder Institute Kabul, and full time President of TechNation.
Country Representative, LGS/ Alcatel-Lucent
Mr. Wahdat is a senior executive and played a pioneering role in the Afghan ICT sector. He led and managed small and large enterprises and worked on number of national priority projects in the country. He currently works as Country Representative at LGS/ Alcatel-Lucent.
Director General of Programs, Office of the President of Afghanistan
Mr. Mohib is a goal-oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities. He is Founder of Afghan Students Association UK, Founder of Afghan Professionals Network. And worked with National ICT Alliance of Afghanistan as Communications Director, with American University of Afghanistan as Chief Technology Officer, and is currently working with the President of Afghanistan as his Director Programs.
Mr. Popal worked as manager of AFGNIC, Head of Revenue and International Services at Afghan Telecom, Deputy CIO Afghan Telecom and currently works as COO at ADRAS.
Mr. Asad Hasan
Founder and CEO, Sahar Communications
Mr. Hasan is Communications, Online & Digital Media Expert who has almost 16 years qualifying experience in different forms of multimedia such as campaign communications, electronic & ads communications, online, social communications & digital print communications. He also has experience in building online & community presence for organizations via multimedia, imagery, websites, illustration & other forms of advertisement designing, development & implementation.
Mr. Nazir Bunyad
Chairman, National ISP Association of Afghanistan
Mr. Bunyad obtained his B.COM degree in Commerce and Business Managment.
Mr. Bunyad worked as AIESEC Hyderabad, India’s Vice President Finance, as Business Development Consultant at Bank of Africa in Benin, West Africa, General Manager at Ariana Network Services (ANS) an Afghan national ISP company. He is currently working as elected Chairman of National ISP Association of Afghanistan (NISPAA) and runs his own ISP Company.

Create and develop a strong, robust organization for Internet Society Afghanistan
Launch National Internet Governance Forum of Afghanistan
Initiate skills building training in partnership with ISOC HQ, other ISOC chapters in the neighborhood.
Actively participate in Internet Governance related meetings and events to ensure Afghan representation on the global level.

Internet Society Afghanistan board participated in the 10th IGF in Guadalajara, Mexico in December 2016. The Internet Society Afghanistan delegation hosted many workshops, participated in various discussions and had a very positive input in the IGF.
Internet Society Afghanistan will have the first ever School of Internet Governance on March 28, 2017
Leaders from governments, civil societies, private sector, technical communities and academia, from Afghanistan and the Central Asian and South Asian (CASA) Region, converge at the IGFA 2017.
